Achievement

 

  • PDBF is a statutory autonomous organization established by the government for the socio-economic development of the rural poor and equality of men and women. The Palli Daridro Bimochon Foundation (PDBF), a project run by the government and Canadian CIDA, was established in November 1999 by an Act passed in Parliament. Since its inception in 2000, PDBF has been able to gain recognition as a successful organization through the combined efforts of all its colleagues and beneficiaries. Since its inception, PDBF has been working tirelessly as an autonomous organization for poverty alleviation in the country under the Rural Development and Cooperatives Department of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. 
  • PDBF has continued to coordinate the country's development program through humanization and further diversification of microfinance. The main goal of PDBF is to establish poor human dignity through various social and economic activities.
     
Progress of PDBF Bijayanagar office:
  • PDBF Bijayanagar office provided training to almost 500 members on various IGAs from 2014-2021 and also provided loans on easy terms. Besides, necessary steps were taken to make the members benificiery by motivating them to participate in various income generating activities including Sewing training, Fattening of Cows, Rearing of dairy Cows, Fish farming, Production of vegetables. Under the COVID-19 incentive loan provided by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, 10 members of Bijoynagar upazila have been provided 20 lacs taka based on only 4% of interest rate, Targeted in various productive activities in the small and medium sector including Handicrafts, Cottage industries, Bamboo and Cane industry, Fish farming, Cow rearing e.t.c
